When in game there are two instances of lol running. the game itself and the client. tab out of the game (alt+tab) and right click on the sound icon on the desktop and go to the volume mixer. you should see 2 lol icons so make sure they are both turned up. its a pretty simple solution but it is easy to overlook.. After the latest patch my volume became extremely low, i know it's lol becuase youtube is working without problems and have good sound. when i downloaded the patch it did freeze at 99% if this is relevant.. League of legends does not have the option to set which sound output you want to use; the game is set to play sounds through your default windows device. the only other possible solution i can think of is that the game was set to mute, or the volume levels were somehow turned all the way down..
