Just had the same issue with my asus laptop w/ power lights indicating the computer is up and running but nothing but a black screen. held the button down for several seconds to completely power. The computer booted but never passed the asus logo or let me go to thr bios and now i only get a black screen, the hdd spin like 1-2 seconds and stop, the fan works, the dvd drive spins. that caps. Tf101 turns on, but only has black screen had used it in the evening, and turned it off before going to bed. a few days later, when trying to turn it on, it acted like it wasn't doing anything -- just a black screen, no light indicators or anything..
