On to the issue...camtasia studio crashes for me upon trying to open a new project with a camrec file (makes no difference whether it was recorded in 7 or 8) if i place the camrec at any place other the very beginning of the timeline 00:00:00;00.. I can vouch for the advice to uninstall and re-install quicktime. a new project kept crashing when trying to re-open. re-installing quicktime fixed the issue – camtasia studio version 8.5.2 (build 1999).
